What is Space Cadet pinball?

Space Cadet Pinball is, as the name implies, a pinball game. Graphically, Space Cadet Pinball is a bit darker than you’d like to see from a typical pinball table, but is very nice. For a 3D pinball game, I thought the graphics were actually pretty good.

Why was 3D Pinball removed from Windows – Space Cadet?

This is not the case in the original game, where they just remain activated. According to Microsoft employee Raymond Chen, 3D Pinball for Windows – Space Cadet was first removed from later releases of Windows due to a collision detection bug during early development of 64-bit versions of Windows, originally for the Alpha AXP architecture.

Is Space Cadet still available?

Released in 1995 on Windows, it's still available and playable with some tinkering. It's an action game, set in a pinball theme. Space Cadet was included in Microsoft Plus!, an add-on for Microsoft Windows 95. Space Cadet is one of the tables of Fill Tilt! Pinball. It is well known as it was included by default in Windows NT 4.0, ME, 2000 and XP.
